There was a time I mentioned cassava puto here, at least this is the English translation already. Puto is a steamed cassava cake with sweetened grated coconut inside. (the white one in the pic)
Rice cake, or Ibus as we call it, is a delicacy in Albay, a province in the Philippines. It is made of glutinous rice and they add a bit of salt.
I know some Filipinos have tried them but I doubt if some of you ever do.

You are right I have never heard about this, I see that Amazon has products with cassava so something perhaps to consider trying,

I miss these! I tried to make some by following some YouTube videos but for some reason they did not turn out as good as what I am used to back there. I guess availability of fresh ingredients matter a lot - I was able to buy cassava from an Asian store here, but it's frozen.
