Now some Plant talk : Pumpkin plant

I posted about a huge Pumpkin that we bought quite some time back.
Apart from having it in some dishes(mainly vegetables), I also decided to do 1 more thing.
I dried the seeds - air drying for some time, and then I planted it in an already existing plant.
And well, the pumpkin leaves are growing. The picture would show that.
Initially I was not confident that these were Pumpkin leaves that were growing. Yet I searched and confirmed.
I have planted some more seeds from another pumpkin I bought in another pot.
the growing pumpkin leaves are also forming some sort of creeping up loops(I do not know what we call these technically) and it looks cool.
My only worry is that if Pumpkins come and are big in size, would our small pot be able to support?
Next time, I might buy a few more pumpkins and have a bigger pot to grow!

Squash vines growing and twirling in my front yard, too. I think it will be for our Halloween.

During the pandemic we planted okra, stringbeans, bitter gourd and squash in our backyard but have to uproot the squash as it has crawled up to my cousin's.house. We never completed the pinakbet.menu.

Pumpkin needs a large space because it's a crawling plant.

I might get a bigger pot in some nearby future but would try with the existing pots for the time being.

I live in an Apartment complex and not on the ground floor. We just have balconies to grow plants.

Yes we also have Capsicum growing in one of our pots. We tried with LadyFinger(Okra) but it did not work.

i do not have the measure but it needs moderate water, not too much.

Yesterday i saw that a few leaves had started to kind of decay but became better after adding water.

That pumpkin plant looks healthy and I am sure soon you will have pumpkin there. You just need a medium size pot for that. In fact for all gourd family veggies a medium size pot is good enough. You just need some support for them to climb up.

And now I experiment a bit with seeds of the vegetables and fruits that we buy plus some seeds we have had in recent years' spring fairs.
