I spent all day Thursday and several hours on Friday watching the Netflix series High Seas. The show's original title is Alta Mar.
The show follows two sister's in the 1940's as they make their way to a cruise ship that is set to disembark from Spain to Brazil where the sisters will live. Fernando Fabergras' is the ships owner and the fiance of Carolina Vasquez, one of the sisters. They are stopped in the middle of the road by a woman who claims to be in distress and begs them to allow her onto the ship.
The show is three seasons long with the first two seasons covering the ships maiden voyage. There is lots of drama, mystery and murder in this series. The third season starts by following Eva Vasquez as she steps into a bookstore and caresses the cover of her recently published book. A man comes up, distracts her and slips a note into a book for her to find. That begins the drama for the third and final season.
Wow, Amber *pats self on back* You did really great summarizing the series and you usually aren't so great at it.
Anyway my own review is this : If you like your heart to be ripped from your chest and stomped on then I suggest you watch this series.

You are welcome. I hope you are enjoying Hulu. Hulu wasn't for me, but they did have a few hulu original shows I liked.

That sounds like an interesting show from 1940. I don't have Netflix. So I can not watch it. Hope you enjoy it

The show was filmed in 2019 and 2020, they base it on the post war era of the 1940's. I'm sorry you won't be able to watch it, it is a good show.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I am not planning to add Netflix to my plan. Already have Amazon Prime and few other. They have enough shows and I don't find time for them.

@arunima25 I understand that. Occasionally I get rid of my streaming services because i don't have time to watch them.

As have I, but sometimes I like watching a series, reading a book or listening to a song that reminds me we aren't alone in our personal travesties.

@CarolDM I can be highly dramatic at times. It was really the third season that made me the most emotional.
