First day of the new schedule

It's amazing how much more you are able to focus when you take away the usual distractions. It almost 2 pm as I sit here and I still haven't turned on my phone. I finished up my daily word count, which varies depending on how I feel that day (though I strive for at least 1000) and now I'm here.
I wiped down the counter in the bathroom and cleaned the shower when I started to feel restless instead of turning on my phone, which helped me squeeze out three hundred more words before I called it a day. I ordered a Christmas Tree from ebay and I'm about to fold some laundry before I find something else to watch on netflix.
I'll be on mylot for a few more minutes before I call it a day.

I'm glad keeping your phone off has been helping you focus. I have to sign out of social media to focus on my writing orders, but I've been somewhat irritated with people on social media (nothing related to current events), so I think it'll be an easier task for me this week.

@ScribbledAdNauseum It's okay. :) I've missed a ton of comments in my time here. Yeah, I was okay for a bit, but my gut is telling me to limit my time on Twitter for a few weeks, so that's what I'm going to do. You're right, we can all use a break from it at times. I hope you're doing well!

I'm sorry, I just now saw this. Most of my social media feed is filled with quotes and funny things so it can be distracting. I'm sorry you'e been frustrated with social media lately. I think we can all use a break from it every once in awhile.

@fatragu I don't have a formal job. I write for a living and try to write atleast 1000 words per day.

We have to get a new tree this year because we can’t fit anything else on the one we have and we bought more ornaments last year at Walmart after Christmas when they went on sale.

@Tina30219 Are you wanting to get a prelit one? I thought about doing that but I have a string of lights and really it won't be too much trouble to string up a 5 foot tree.

@LindaOHio Absolutely. It 1:20 now and I've just finished. I wrote a little over 1,000 more words than I had expected to as well.

I am trying to decide when to put my tree up. Here in the US, we usually wait until the day after Thanksgiving. I think I may put mine out after halloween.
