Some very weird logic here!

Donald Trump has come up with some beauties in his time, but the latest one takes some beating!
(Unless, that is is, he has produced something even more ridiculous in the time since I spotted this one - which is entirely possible)
The CDC reported that - based on a small sample of people interviewed - 85% of Covid sufferers had worn masks, for varying degrees of time, in the time preceding their infection.
This statistic has been interpreted by Trump - and delivered in speeches - as meaning that 85% of people who wear masks will get Covid.
This is just barmy, and an example of the nonsense people will produce when they do not know the first thing about how to argue a case by using logic.
Leaving aside the fact that the CDC was talking about actual sufferers and Trump was assuming that this applied to potential sufferers, the logical flaw is obvious to most people with half a brain.
Suppose somebody said that 44% of left-handed people had blood with Group O. To use Trump's logic, this would mean that 44% of people with O Group blood were left-handed!
Do you think that anyone will dare to tell Trump that he is completely off the rails with this one? And if they do, will he take any notice?
