Hey there, everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. I’m not going to be doing my usual challenge/writing goal posts today, except maybe the Gratitude Challenge (I’m not sure yet), but I feel like posting something, so here I am.
I went out with my best friend and her son yesterday. We didn’t hit up Walmart or Target as planned, but it’s fine. I had already been to both of those stores within the past week, so I couldn’t really think of anything I needed to get from either place. We did, however, go to the Family Dollar, Dollar Tree and Michaels Crafts.
I didn’t get much at the Family Dollar. I bought the Little Guy some construction paper (I took him with me while his Mom was in the grocery store), some Squishy toys that you can color for my nieces and then I saw a new flavor of Hawaiian Punch singles-to-go (flavor packets for water). It’s White Water Wave, and it was only $1, so I picked up a box to try. It has like, a coconut taste to it, and I like it. :) I’ll definitely be picking up another box the next time I see it. Anyways, that was all I got from the Family Dollar.
I picked up more stuff at the Dollar Tree, but didn’t exceed the budget of $10 I had set for myself. I got four packs of Freeze-Dried Fruit; two apple and two mixed fruit. I also picked up a can of Cherry Coke, a set of microfiber cloths, a tabletop basketball game (I figured it’d be a nice change for when I’m feeling stressed or anxious), a small wastebasket and a tote bag (it was a Dollar Tree bag; 2 for $1, and I only bought one). Oh, and I bought the little guy a Slinky for no reason lol. :) I needed a basket for my side of the sink/vanity because it was a mess and I hated looking at the clutter. Welp, I didn’t care for the selection, or lack thereof, of baskets at this particular Dollar Tree. They were all too big, and I need something that’s going to fit on the sink/vanity. I also forgot to check for a basket at the Family Dollar.
Our last stop was Michaels Crafts. My best friend and the Little Guy went shopping for their own craft supplies, and I decided to look for a basket. I found a small pink bin for $3.99, but I also had a 20% off coupon in my email, so it was only $3.39ish. It was a good size too, so I decided to just buy it. My side of the sink/vanity is looking much better now lol.
And that was my shopping trip. I switched my days off, and I have some proofreading to do, so I’m going to wrap this up. You all enjoy your weekend and take care. :)

That sounds productive. My husband worked yesterday, so today being his day off, we did our weekly grocery shopping. We hit up both Winn-Dixie and Save-a-lot and still spent less than 100. That's unusual for us, as we rarely spend less than 150 between all the shopping. But, we know how to pinch pennies when we have to. And, we made 50 cents.... so I guess you could call that a win-win.
