Teachers not grading in a timely fashion

Does this bother anyone other than me? You set a deadline for us to have our homework turned in by but then we wait for over a week minimum for you to grade it. This makes it to where we can't know how we are doing in the class. If it is a writing class we don't know if what we are writing needs to be written in a different way. We are getting no feedback with the teachers taking forever to grade assignments. I saw on Reddit that one student had a teacher that didn't grade a single homework assignment until the day before the grades were due for the semester. That isn't fair to the students. We don't know what we need to be working on to better our grade. We also aren't getting any feedback from the teachers on what things we are messing up that could easily be changed for future assignments. We also aren't able to drop the class to try again at a later date without having an unsatisfactory grade on our record and lowering our GPA. We aren't going to save any money by dropping and trying again, but we will save our GPA. I just feel that it isn't fair to the students. Part of being a teacher is grading assignments. These teachers have been college students in the past. I always wonder how they would react if it was this way for them. All they would have to do is schedule some grading time. If they can't manage that, maybe teach fewer classes. If they can't remember to grade assignments, I suggest getting and using a planner.

If you have to wait for an excessively long time, you can complain to the headmaster (says I, a former teacher [for 40 years!]). The example of the teacher you found on Reddit is absurd. The students were silly not to complain in time. I don't feel sorry for them.
