My head is always the first one though it must be the lower part of the body first going upward. As what some medical expert said, stroke happens usually in the bathroom and one of the reasons is due to sudden reaction of your body system from showering head first. The best way would be down then upward which is true. It cant be denied, if you try it, you will be frightened if you pour water first in your head compared from your feet then going upward. Did you know this?

No, I never heard of such a thing. I have always stepped into the shower getting everything wet at once.

@akalinus yeah it would just be awkward to do it at first because we're not used to do it ...

I didn’t know that but I’ll have to ask my husband. He is a nurse and has been taught many things about strokes and care. I always start with around my center like stomach down then arms, I always wash my legs last before washing my hair. This way if I miss any soap or missed a spot when I put my head under the water most all of that water will do all over my body. Did you know you should only use about the size of quarter or less to washer your hair. You just wash the top the soap runs through the hair and doesn’t damage your roots.

Ohhh what a piece of information thanks...i didn't know that also. Practically your right, it is not the way i used to be. I would always wash my head thoroughly before coming back again with bath soap. Now I know, i will apply it..thanks a lot for that information...

@mcNathan your welcome. You also shouldn’t wash daily unless your very sweaty or work in the medical field. Washing every day dries out the skin and also kills off the natural bugs and germs that are good for us. They say roughly wash with soap every 3-4 days.
