A Monkey on the Mountain

I got this photo when visiting one of the villages in Kalinga Philippines. When I was a young kid, I want to have a monkey pet. As I grow older, I learned that it is not allowed to make it as a pet. I tried to touch it but it easily agitated at that time.
Is a monkey a good pet?

I don't think monkeys are meant to be pets. The one in the pic sure looks adorable.

Had pet monkeys when I was younger.
Eventually, donated all three to the provincial LGU.

I don't think monkeys are good to be kept as pets. Especially if caught from the wild fully grown. You said yourself, the one you approached gets agitated easily.
Maybe perhaps, if you get one that was born and raised in captivity would be easier to take care of.

I feel that a Monkey would be tough to keep as a pet. It is perhaps better to stick to dogs and cats.
They could have more of the "wildlife" instincts in them, perhaps.

Yes else when in city areas, they are bound to cause some mess here and there.
