Grand Hotel gives me a headache

I've been watching this Spanish Language Drama onNetflix for the past week. I've talked about it a little here before. I started to watch it a few years ago but just couldn't get into it. It's one of those things you have to have the subtitles on for unless you Speak Spanish..
Anyway, Set in 1905 at a Hotel called... "Grand Hotel". A man arrives to visit his sister who works for the hotel, but when he arrives he's told that she left. He knows that's not like his sister, so he enlists the help of another waiter who helps him pose as the new waiter the staff had been waiting for.
There are lots of twists and turns in this series. So many that there's been a time or two that I've just wanted to turn the television off. It's too good of a show though, and I think it's building up to an explosive ending. You start to hate characters and then change your mind about them, only to be not so sure about them after all.
I think I have about 12 episodes left to watch, give or take.

Wow sounds good. We have a grand hotel by us we have to take a boat to get to it because it is on a island.

@Tina30219 I bet it's had some upgrades then, to stay relevant. I used to work for a hotel group and they were always trying to stay relevant.

That sounds nice. Have you ever been inside of it?

Sounds like something I would watch pre CoViD-19.
Right now, I just want to be entertained.

@ScribbledAdNauseum we are opposites.
I've noticed that some of the movies/documentaries that I've been watching are either about pandemics, zombie outbreaks, or end of world/apocalyptic scenarios.

It's definitely entertaining. I've avoided lots of things since COVID started. Some books that touch on the subject (even if it's fiction), shows / movies featuring historic illnesses..

I've gotten used to the subtitles to be honest. It might not be like that for every show, but it's the truth. Plus, they repeat a lot of the same words "Por Supuesto" "Claro Que Si" etc, so I don't even have to look at the translation for those.

I think it's an interesting show, but I also think they've stretched the plot out too much.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I know that feeling of wanting more about a movie series.

I almost got rid of it a few months ago but I've been steadily watching shows on it again.

@LindaOHio I hope you enjoy those two shows. I know we've talked about them before. I prefer historical shows myself.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I got rid of Netflix and Amazon Prime to get Hulu. I want to rewatch Lost and see what Manifest is all about.

I think so, and the main character is also on another show I want to watch.

I cancel and re-sign up every once in awhile. I won't keep it if I don't watch television on it.
