TV Review "The Office"

So, it was actually my momma's idea to delve into "The Office". We hadn't watched it before. I've found it to be enjoyable watching , perhaps a little extreme to think that someone like Michael would be allowed to keep his manager position, but I'm sure that's not too far off of reality in some situations, either. I like the show, because you can see the characters are parodies of people you probably even know in real life. And the pranks are fairly hilarious. So far we are in season 5, and I think there are 9 seasons, so happily I think we have a lot of watching to do. Here's a clip, I think it's the funniest scene -
Jim again pushes Dwight's buttons... by dressing as his double! Watch The Office US on Google Play: https://goo.gl/zV92hg & iTunes https://goo.gl/qbYX3Y Subs...

We LOVE The Office! Maybe it's not completely appropriate, but my kids love it too . We went through all the episodes during this pandemic . . . and we are going through them AGAIN for the 3rd time. So hey, a lot of it was shot locally . . . we recently visited the Dunder Mifflin building (just the outside).

Oh no way. That's so cool! The characters are enjoyable, and it's a good , lighthearted laugh. And that is way cool it was shot in your area and you've got to see the building. Is it really offices?

@FayeHazel I love the format of the show - keeps us laughing for sure! If you look up film locations, there are actual addresses for scenes you would recognize. The building is a filming studio now, but fenced and the public can't go in. I was discussing it with Hubby . . . sometimes the cast looks out the window from inside and you could see their parking lot . . . so it's possible they filmed from the offices inside. But not sure. The sad thing is the area/street is dumpy now. Lots of homeless tents and such - not a street you'd want to walk around as it doesn't seem safe .

@much2say I really like the mock-documentary format, it let you get to know the characters so much easier. Aw, amazing to think it is a film studio now. Oh that's sad, I can't imagine such a large collection of homeless and all. We have a few here and there around here... I suppose the winter makes that difficult here...

My daughter watched every episode probably more then once. I am a few seasons in but I only watch it now and then. I go shopping in the city the show is supposed to be set in. Funny thing is I am watching Blacklist and the one episode jus mentioned the same city.

@FayeHazel I know the office wasn’t filmed in Scranton Pa but I’m not positive about that episode of Blacklist. Now when you watch the office you can think of me going shopping in that area.

Oh wow that's cool. I wonder if it was filmed there too? I know awhile back there was a movie called "New in Town" set in New Ulm MN. I grew up there part of the time. Wasn't filmed there though.

@FayeHazel The Big Bang Theory did the same thing one year for Halloween. Howard dressed up as Sheldon and imitated him.
