As I have predicted, I had a long day at work today. I did not even have a chance to run home to meet with my husband so we can have lunch together.
This is how my day went in a nutshell:
Arrived at work at 6:30 a.m. Checked emails, voicemails, met with staffs, checked in with other locations, then prepare for my 10:00 a.m. meeting with my boss. All these took about 2 hours and a half. Then around 8:30 a.m., my boss moved my 10am to 1pm. Since it was free, I accepted another meeting from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. Then got another meeting at 12pm, which lasted well after 1pm, so now I am running late for my 1pm call. My meeting ended at 2pm, and was only able to take a bite of my Inari sushi lunch brought by my husband since he knows I haven't eaten anything yet, other than coffee and water. Then I went back to work and had a couple of walk-ins who needed to talk to me. Then went on the 4pm shift change call, and finally around 5:10-5:15 p.m., I was able to leave work.
I got home and had a glass of orange juice. Saw an email from a client for my side gig if I can take on a batch of invoices for entering. I accepted and have been on it until 7pm. A lot of my friends ask me why I still work outside of my day job when this side job does not compare with the pay of my full-time job. For me, any little bit of income coming in helps. I am also not picky as long as I do it with integrity. And besides, even though I am so tired, I also enjoy it.
Now, I am tired, but happy. I am just waiting for my husband to return from the gym so we can have dinner together. For the mean time, I will mylot and relax with Hulu on.

That was a very productive day. It's good tiring when you spend it getting a lot done. I understand what it's like to need extra money because I will take what little I can.

That only works if they learn to make healthy spending habits and know when to pump the breaks on the credit cards.@Raine38

@kaylachan Ah, credit cards...that is so true! They are still young, just graduated from school and have yet to experience the real world out there. But while we make sure that they are well provided for, we also made sure that they have to work hard for it. Could be chores, good grades, or helping out during their breaks. But time will tell if any of these made any lasting impact on them.

Wow sounds like your work day was pretty busy. I'm on the phone all day long with my job doing collections & used to have meetings here n there. I would hate to be in meetings all day long then I would feel like I got nothing accomplished.
