Day 81 Promise 540 John 16:22 And ye now, therefore, have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man takes from you. 23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. People view God in two ways. Either He will give you everything you desire, or He won’t give you anything. God doesn’t grant wishes or give people things that will harm them. Jesus talked to His disciples about His upcoming death and resurrection which they didn’t understand. He then told them to ask the Father whatever they desired in His name and God would give it to them so their joy would be complete. As Christians, you know God answers prayer. You’ve seen many instances of it in your life. You also know the key to answered prayer isn’t asking for selfish gain or something that will harm you or other people. Answered prayer brings glory to God. James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all men liberally, and upbraids not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he who wavers is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. Joy comes when you glorify God with your requests. God will always answer your prayers when you ask with a pure, unselfish heart. Let’s pray: Father, let my motives be pure and unselfish when I bring my requests to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 29 October 2020 by Valerie Routhieaux Image courtesy of Pixabay

Amen. Yes I do agree that whatsoever we pray to our Father in heaven through Jesus' name, the Father will grant it.
