Because we are still facing this pandemic which is uncertain when to end, the government authorities here ordered the nationwide closure of cemeteries starting October 29 to November 4. This prevented people from gathering in the place to visit their departed love ones of course per health safery protocols. But, people always find ways to do the tradition. They're visiting graves ahead of time of the closure to offer flowers and lit candles and this include prayers. For us here, we will visit after the order is lifted. I hope that we're not the ones being visited by our departed love ones on these occasions since we cannot do so.

I think, if your departed loved ones, really do watch over you... they already know when the orders will end and understand. You can still talk/pray to them at any time.

I myself prefer not to visit during these dates during normal times because I can't handle the crowd. Yes, surely they can understand.

Ha ha. Yes, they will understand for sure. This is for everyone's safety. Anyway, we can always visit their graves anytime.

It's a sad thing we are living through. I pray it doesn't get worse. How is the virus doing there? Slowing down or cases back up? They are back up here in the US.

@ZedSmart The states here are all in individual stages of re-opening here. It's bad. Cases went down with quarantine, even though all did not stay home during quarantine orders. Some don't want to quarantine, some won't wear masks. It's sad actually that they don't care for themselves or their families or anyone else. To me, that is what it boils down to.

@kareng I think there are people who think themselves are immune. Same here, there are people like that.

Per report, the total cases are close to 400K but excluding deaths and recoveries around 40K are active. Everyday, new cases are still reported. Granular lockdowns are happening and our city has just lifted from modified enhance community quarantine status but we're still on a general community quarantine.

I agree with this one. Can't risk spreading the virus especially in a place as packed as the cemeteries.

Yes if people gather in places, the chances of transmission are high.

I think it's a good measure to taken by your government. That way they can reduce the spreading of the virus. It's not forever after all.
