Apparently I can't update the post to add an image. Got error message each time. So I'll just make a new post instead. This is my second attempt anyway. The first one also have no image. I try cropping the image then. Which came out pretty mess up. Here's a picture of the ducklings with their adopted mom. As you can see, she's glaring at me. So wary even though I was quite far away.

They even try to follow it around. The hen don't stay in the cage during the day most of the time. But it doesn't stray far away either. The ducklings still young, so they don't know how to fly yet.

Oohh that's cute. This reminds me of my grandma's house and her poultry. The same thing also happened, but not for long time. They got bigger and left the hen.

I think they were abandon by the hen instead. Well, at least they didn't have to teach the hen to swim

@prinzcy some hen fond of ducklings, but some others don't. They tend to really cruel. Peck the ducklings. Well, that's a good point.

Hens can be very attacking when they are with their chicks but I am not sure how they are going to behave as adopted mom of ducklings.

@prinzcy Hen with chicks attack the passer by thinking that he has come to attack her chicks. I have seen that during my childhood.

Probably temporary or forever. But the ducklings will grow and be more independent. Then they'll be on their own and no longer following the hen.
