My Halloween 2020 weekend was a busy but good one. I tried to keep it short and sweet but that didn’t work lol. On Halloween, I dressed as a cowgirl, and I’ll attach a picture to this post. I took the “less is more” approach, and let my hat, jean jacket, boots (not cowboy boots) and fabric mask (which sort of looked like a solid-colored bandana) do the work. I also layered up in a black spaghetti strap, long sleeve shirt and t-shirt because it was cold lol. We took pictures, ate pizza and watched “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” for free on the Apple TV app. My brother-in-law, best friend and I took my niece and the Little Guy Trick-or-Treating. The neighborhood did great! There weren’t any crowds, and those around one another socially distanced. People wore their masks as well. Candy and/or treat bags were left on the steps or tables with signs, and people did good about only taking one piece (some did leave permission to take a few). Some even left hand sanitizer for children to use after taking a piece of candy. We made it a rule for Little Miss and Little Mister - the first one you touch, you’re taking, so choose wisely. Anyway, some also did the candy chutes I mentioned before, and I’ll also attach a picture of ours to this post. Those who actually handed candy out did it carefully. By the time we got home, the Lantern Parade was starting. It usually involved whoever wanted to join, walking around the neighborhood, but this time it was done in several pick-up trucks. We watched from the comfort -and safety- of our own home. Overall, Halloween was both fun and safe, and it was a success! The next morning, I went to two Spirit Halloween stores with some of my family, as we wanted to check out the sales since the store would be closing (for the season) within a few days. All I could really find was two pins for my niece and best friend, but I’ll save that for the next stocking stuffers post (not tonight). We also hit up a Dollar Tree and JoAnn Fabrics. I don’t think we went anywhere else, but I cannot remember. I wound up conking out on the couch shortly after getting home. I *WANTED* to go to Target with some of the family after the football game, but I woke up just a few minutes before they were ready, and I didn’t feel like jumping up to go, so I skipped out. Another few minutes later, my best friend texted to see if I wanted to go with her to the convenience store and Target in about 20 minutes lol. I agreed because that gave me a little time to get myself together. I don’t remember what I bought from the stores though, to be honest. I eventually got online to work on a few orders, set up my schedule and hit the hay. So yeah, I was exhausted just writing that lol. I can’t say I didn’t get a lot of walking in. Anywho, I hope everyone had a great weekend, and I hope you all enjoy your upcoming week! :) Photo Credit: I made this two-pic collage; both pictures are from Halloween. My costume and our candy chute, which my niece painted to look like the Sandworm from Beetlejuice.

Like what I wrote in your IG post, I love the idea of the candy chute. Safe and efficient way to give out candies.
