it's a carrot cake but it does not taste like carrot itself.

Depends on what you're into. And, it looks like a square to me. As long as you enjoyed it, then yeah.

I have been making sooooo many carrot cakes lately. My kids get free lunches from the school near us and they often give carrots with the meal. My kids don't like the carrots so I turn those particular veggies into cake!
I've made so many that I was able to give my sister a couple to freeze and our extra freezer is filling up with cakes. 
Usually we put a cream cheese frosting on ours, though. Makes it less "healthy" but more yummy.
For future snacks...have you made apple crisp? Makes a good dessert, snack, or breakfast. Another thing I've been making a lot of because, again, those school lunches send us a bunch of fruit!

Your carrot cake looks good. Why not bake a potato cake?
