St. Mary County Sheriff Office deputy Gray Malloy is gaining a lot of praises when he was on his patrol route in Mechanicsville Maryland when he saw a man riding on a wheelchair by himself trying to cross a road.
I am sure that Officer Maloy only did his act of kindness by getting out of his squad car, stop traffic and assist the man in the wheelchair to get to the other side of the road safely out of the kindness of his heart.
The result of his kind act after he went back into his squad car to continue his journey was that many eyewitnesses took pictures of his actions and sent them to the local police department.
The officers at the police headquarters are happy that one of their officers is getting praised for showing a heart of compassion which will likely make the local news market.

This is definitely a praiseworthy act by the cop. However, I hope that this is something that the cops of this area are routinely doing and not focus on too much of publicity.

I agree with you since the eyewitness did report his kind deed to his superiors. Too bad the national media failed to report it.
