Wow, already at the halfway point at this look at favorite Scottish musicians? Time flies when you’re singing along! I’m celebrating Scotland’s greatest singers (in my opinion) because of my appreciation for our Scottish myLotter @JimBo452020 . And here’s today’s Scot.
#6: Donovan
You know the other cool thing about this countdown? Many of these people are well known too! And if you were around in a certain era you heard so many of his great hits: “Mellow Yellow” (that’s Paul McCartney doing the whispering, if you didn’t know), “Hurdy Gurdy Man,” There Is a Mountain,” etc. etc. etc.
Here’s another little trivia tidbit for you: he was, at one time, the father-in-law of one of the Beastie Boys. His daughter is actor Ione Skye, who was married to Adam Horovitz for seven years.
And his music still sounds good!
