Hodgkin's Disease - the CoViD-19 two millenniums ago.

The Parable of the Ten Lepers is one of the most often told tale on the subject of gratitude. Out of the ten who called out to our Lord Jesus for pity, only one, a Samaritan, when he realized he was cleaned, turned back, glorified God, and fell on our Lord's feet thanking Him. And our Lord told him, 'Stand up and go, your faith has saved you.' Today, as the numbers of CoViD-19 cases surge all around the world, we call out for pity. But before we pray for healing, we must remember the basic tenet that kindness and generous love of our God were already given because of His grace. Grace is benefitting the gifts of God even if we do not deserve it, like the sunlight we all enjoy, even if we are erring. Like the ten lepers who received healing when our Lord told them to show themselves to the priest. Yet, only one came back. And he was saved. As we call on our God to heal us, remember that we must turn back and glorify our God by doing good to others, too.

Timely reminder for us all who take everything for granted in our life. That was where l was during my lowest point in life. I was thankful that despite being infected l belong to the group that was mild to moderate case. I was thankful that He was there all the time in my lifetime loneliness in that room for the next 14 days. I was grateful that He guided everyone, the doctors, nurses to be patient with me in my lowest point in life.

The critical health situation the world is in now is a time of reckoning. For those who have expired, their time was up. For those who lived, there is still a mission to be accomplished. Your fourteen days and nights was your reckoning, your special moment with the Lord, because just as you think you were at your lowest point, He was there all along sustaining you life. And you lived. He had given you a second chance with the Breath of Life. That means you have to spread the goodness of the Lord. Your gratefulness saved you.

@eileenleyva Amen to that one. I could not add to it anymore. That was I guess the closest point in my life to HIM as I just felt helpless at that time and clinging to my dear life. There is no one to depend on but HIM and the doctors and nurses.

@rsa101 It's your gratitude story, the story you must be grateful for this Advent Season, the story you must write in your Christmas cards for loved ones, the story you must tell new friends and acquaintances. They say that when God gives an overwhelming blessing, like restoring a life, He makes it so tremendous that you would have not the guts to say 'I cannot' when He asks you for a favor of spreading His love. Dear friend, you are not just a soldier in this fight for the good, our Lady upgraded you to platoon leader! Spread the faith.

Malaria is due to mosquito bites. Hodgkin's is leprosy.

That's true. People need to put politics aside. The science, the fear. Just live life, and be thankful for what you do have. My parents used to say, God lets things happen for a reason.

Your parents are correct. Our world needed the divine intervention. The demagoguery had been too much, the science and the environment had been taken for granted. And ordinary lives have become superfluous. Expendable. People need to relearn that life is a gift and must be lived according to God's Will.
