Day 94 Promise 553 Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: 40 Him God raised up the third day, and showed him openly; 41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead. 42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. 43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believes in him shall receive remission of sins. Have you ever been a witness to an event or action? Have you been called upon to testify of what you saw? Peter gave his testimony to Cornelius of what he saw before, during, and after Jesus’ death and resurrection. He told him there were many witnesses to what took place. Then Peter told Cornelius everyone who believes in the name of Jesus receives forgiveness of sin. As Christians, you know that as soon as you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, God forgave all your sins. You became a witness to the power of Jesus Christ in your life every time you tell someone about Jesus and what He did for you. Peter told Cornelius what Jesus did for him. What has Jesus done for you? What is your witness for Jesus Christ? Let’s pray: Father, thank you for the power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ, Your Son. Help me be Your witness to all Jesus did in my life. Let my life be a witness to the power of Jesus’ death and resurrection. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
