Preparing for Tropical Storm Eta

That's a sentence I never thought I'd say halfway through November. But, here we are. Eta plans to make landfall on the west coast of Florida sometime overnight. So, we turned our outdoor table upside down and weighed it down, brought in our chairs and we plan to secure our recycle bin inside, too. Not expecting a whole lot of damage, but we still don't want to have to hunt down our things. Nor do we want them to damage our screens. So we're taking the stepto protect them.

No, it's a very low tropical storm. And, that doesn't surprise me.

@kaylachan You're right. I'm not sure where I picked up it had been upgraded. Still a pretty good storm though. Good luck.

@cperry2 Yeah. I'm on the East coast, but it's large enough we'll start to see impacts. I was outside and thought I heard the wind pick up.

It's pretty much right on top of us, and so far, it's been windy. But other than that, good.

@just4him You and me, both. The storm is obviously gone now, but prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

That's very basic to do when a typhoon is expected to make landfall. Our country is already devastated by typhoon Ulysses.

So I have been reading from various posters on the site, today. We can't predict, what if any, damage to expect. So, we prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Yep. As seasoned as we are, we know when and when not to hit that panic button.

Stay safe there. It has been a stormy week here in my place and classes were already suspended for two days.
