The Swastik diya is used for better luck.

Swasik diya is a diya used during Diwali which brings good luck. It is considered a pious symbol, a sacred symbol. The festival starts of with 14 diyas. The Hindus light them in their houses and make the place look beautiful.

Oh cool a swastika that isn't the nazi symbol. We really need to take this symbol back and disociate it from nazisim

@Fa_Maverick The Nazi Swastik was tilted at an angle.The Hindu Swastik is straight and has a strong religious significance.

@sathviksouvik Indeed it is I had one on my note book in highschool and on a poster I made in religion because we were looking at other cultures students thought it was a Nazi symbol and I nearly got suspended until one of the school counsellors said "but it isn't tilted so it's fine"

We do not use a Swastik Diya as such. However, we do decorate our home with a lot of Diyas and sometimes candles. Plus some lights.
