Day 96 Promise 555 Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. People put shame on a person for what they believe, whether it’s religion, politics, your career, or your hobbies. Paul told the Romans he wasn’t ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it gives everyone power for salvation. God doesn’t exclude anyone from salvation through His Son. As Christians, this is powerful because you know the power of your salvation when you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. You feel energized through this power and bold to declare Jesus as Savior and Lord. Your prayer life is also energized. You might not know what to pray for, but the Holy Spirit does and gives you thoughts and brings to your attention those situations when people need prayer. Faith increases as you testify what God has done for you. John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them who believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. You have power because you have faith to believe. Use your power to testify and bring others to salvation. Let’s pray: Father, let Your Word dwell in me and give me power to testify about Your goodness in my life. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. There was a time when I didn't know how to pray. Then I put those worries aside and spoke to our Lord. My prayers were not immediately answered, or so I thought. When it became clear that my prayers were heard, I knew that no matter how I chose to pray, either through spoken word or thought, he hears.
