Book Reading!

After my 'cry' for books to read I received 13 (!!!!) from Carol, Susan, Betsy and Bob and I must admit it was really fun getting back into reading.
They ranged from autobiographies and biographies of Sally Field, Vivien Leigh, Tom of Finland/Artist, Cary Grant to the best of Edgar Allen Poe, Great American Short Stories, 101 Great American Poems plus a few fiction novels and a major find for me of a Gay father writing to his Gay son which is a gem and that I have read 3 times--so far--standing up in the rear.
There is a certain feeling I have when I am lost in reading a book, other people's words that I don't get in magazines, papers, blogs, etc.
I am going to donate the books to the Gateway Library we have here for the residents!

@GreatMartin Amen, while people do not agree because think big means better, but my philosophy a small house means less work and every bit as proud.

It is just passing it on plus for many years I took hundreds of books with me whenever I moved until one day I asked myself "Why? How many will I read again?" I gave them all to a local library!

I used to 'collect' books until I realized that all they did was collect dust!

Frankly, I have a set of around 1500 comics of Phantom, which I have collected in childhood. And, I really do not feel like donating it. It is my precious childhood memory. Also, I have original Sherlock Homes (I think it is Scarlet... something) book written by Sir, Arthur Conan Doyle.
Other books, I gave it to our lady-maid for her children.

I use to read a book a week at the least and then for someone unknown reason I stopped--I forgot how great it is to just hold a book in your hand and get lost in someone else's world!
