Why would you cheat if you didn't have to?

As everyone must know by now, a large number of people are utterly convinced that Joe Biden could not have won the Presidential Election without cheating on a massive scale. I am quite convinced that this is merely an absurd conspiracy theory without so much as an ounce of truth behind it, and here is the main reason why I think this: The Democrats did not need to cheat in order to win, so why would they do so? Let’s look at the facts. For months before the election on 3rd November, Joe Biden had a clear lead in the opinion polls over Donald Trump. There were dozens of such polls, conducted by a number of different agencies that used a variety of polling methods. They all said the same thing, namely that Biden’s lead was substantial and consistent. He was well on the way to victory. When the results started to come in, the story was a bit different, namely that the opinion polls had been overly optimistic and a landslide win was probably not on the cards, although there was little doubt that Biden would win even so. So not only was there was therefore no need to resort to underhand methods, it would appear that, even if the Democrats had done so, the cheating was not working. A cheat that reduces your vote rather than increases it does not strike me as being a particularly effective one!

The way the system works, cheating really isn't possible. It's the electoral college votes that decided, and each state gets a certain number, based on registered voters and overall size. Trump lost, and as a result, he and others are upset about it. When Trump won in 2016, all hell broke loose and haters went to town on his buildings. No matter who wins and who loses, someone's going to be a sore loser about it, and many of those who assume Biden somehow cheeted, are just upset that Trump lost. Trump not taking the loss well isn't helping the situation. It's only feeding the fire.

I have to agree with you - nobody so far has come up with a convincing story as to how the Dems are supposed to have "stolen" the election. Presumably they did the utterly underhand and dastardly thing of persuading more people to vote for their man than for the other guy!

USA is not a banana republic, I am less sure for Trumpistan when I read the tweets of the orange sovereign of Trumpistanis . Yesterday he wrote on Twitter : "Our big cases showing the unconstitutionality of the 2020 Election, & the outrage of things that were done to change the outcome, will soon be filed!" Wait and see.

Trump is constantly going on about "just about to happen". He always seems to be promising things that are just around the corner, but the timescale always seems to stretch far into the distance!
