If it's labelled as a 'conspiracy theory', I'm bound to be dubious of it to begin with. The ones I'm most likely to give credence to are those where large and rich companies might stand to lose a great deal by revealing a very cheap or free solution to a particular problem so it is very publicly denounced as 'proven ineffective by research' or something like that.

Can't argue with that. Planned obsolescence and suppression of solutions is definitely a rampant problem. The entire system is based on constant consumption. Without it, it collapses. Same reason we will never see a meaningful amount of jobs coming back from overseas. Not only would we collapse their economies with a chain-reaction effect, but we would also hyperinflate our economy. But, those aren't "theories" per se. They are just logical consequences of our system.

@NewWorldOptimist A lot of things which are labelled as 'conspiracy theories; are nothimg of the kind or very loosely so. Strictly speaking, a conspiracy theory should involve one or more people (often ;the Government' ) "conspiring" to mislead or conceal information from the public. Many are somewhat intriguing at first until any sensible person has evaluated them as ridiculous. I remember spending quite a lot of time looking at videos of the 9/11 attacks which claimed that it was all a big setup by the US Government. Some were almost convincing. Needless to say, I have moved on!
