Another episode of Andre Rieu on TV

We watched another episode of Andre Rieu on TV today! This episode was called Dreams Come True and in it Andre talked about the fact that touring with his own orchestra was his dream and that had come true. He had his first hit with The Second Waltz by Shostakovich which is actually my favourite tune! So Andre was saying how The Second Waltz by Dimitri Shostakovich made his dreams come true. Also in this episode he talks about the fans. When he plays concerts in the square in Maastricht people come from all over the world to see him play in his home town and that to them is a dream come true. One of the dancers that Andre sometimes has dancing in the aisles was getting married and she loved the white dress that she had been dancing in and said she would love to get married in it. Andre found out about this and he went to the wardrobe department to look for the dress. There were all the dresses lined up on the rails and all the dresses were the same so he had to go along all the rows looking until he came to the dress with the girls name on it! He then got the happy couple to come to his castle and there he congratulated them on their upcoming wedding. Then he said you liked that dress you were wearing, didn't you? You'd like to get married in it? She said yes, that would have been lovely. Then Andre produced a box with the dress in and said, here it is. You can get married in it! One of the members of Andre's orchestra, I think his name was Franz, went to see his mother in Italy. His mother had never seen her son play. She had pictures of him playing on her walls but she has never seen him.play. So Franz gave her this card when they were at dinner and asked her to read it. It said the lady's name and then it said has been personally invited by Andre Rieu to attend his concert in Maastricht. So Andre arranged for Franz's Mum and Franz's son to come over from Italy to see Franz play in Andre's orchestra in Maastricht! The episode also showed Pierre, Andre's son, giving fans a guided tour of the backstage area in Maastricht and they even got to go on stage and pretend they were part of the orchestra! (Not while the audience were there of course). I really liked this episode. It really showed how kind and generous Andre is.
