Rotten egg experience

Goodmorning! Wanted to fry 2 eggs for breakfast.I broke the first egg and poured into a bowl,on breaking the second one and pouring I realised it was bad and I had to throw away the whole mixture.feels so bad.has this ever happened to you? is there a way to know a bad egg before breaking it?

I had the same experience once and had to throw away whole mixture with eggs, veggies and cheese while making an omelette. I wish I knew the way to find out before breaking it.

One thing I like here in Germany is that they put a date on the eggs where I can easily see if the eggs have to be thrown away before opening it.
