If This Election Has Taught Us Anything At All...

It should be that the years of suspected voter fraud & disenfranchisement needs to stop right now. There should be no reason to see what is happening in the US. It's the 21st-century for crying out loud. I understand that most people are stuck in only voting for one of the two parties, but since the first years of this nation, we have been stuck in that mindset. Nearly 250 years of staying in the same mindset. The founding fathers fought to get away from old-world thinking. The US has always adapted to and set the trends for change in the world. Now is our opportunity to continue that spirit. Not regress. I am far from a nationalist, but I think in many ways I am more of a patriot than most self-proclaimed patriots. We have the technology available to securely vote online, not through some silly machines and paper ballots. But, it is illogical, old-world thinking that holds us back and keeps us under the rule of the same type of government that the founding fathers fought against. It is time we implement blockchain-based ranked-choice voting. If the DoD, NATO, and govs/corps around the world can set up secure communications using this tech, why can't we have it for voting?

I think the US could learn a lot from other countries. One thing they could do would be to give serious thought to making massive changes to the Constitution - maybe even tearing it up and starting again. Why on earth should one imagine that the state of affairs that existed 200+ years ago - and which led the Founding Fathers to draft the Constitution the way they did - applies in all respects today?
