Drew Brees Down

New Orleans Saints starting quarterback, Drew Brees is down and we don't know if he'll be getting back up after this one. On Sunday Brees took a major hit on the field. He finished the half but before the second half, he told coach Sean Peyton that he just couldn't play. In his words, he said that he wouldn't have been effective in the game. It came out today that Brees is suffering from two broken ribs on the left side, 2 broken ribs on the right side and they believe that the broken ribs on his right side punctured his lung causing a collapse. The recovery time for him is unknown but everyone is hopeful that he'll be available to play if they make the play-offs. We all wish him a speedy recovery. *picture from google

I also hope that Drew will recover from his injury that he suffered during the 49ers game. My concern is his mental state of mind recovering from his injury.

I don't think anyone is going to know that until he steps back on the field

@JordanLader That is true since I do remember the story of Rocky Balboa's mental state of mind in the rematch against Clubber Lang in the movie "Rocky III" which came out in 1982.

Wow, I heard about that. Here is wishing Drew a speedy recovery. I am sure he would want to play in the play offs as well.

Knowing him, he'll try to push it to come back sooner but I think he needs to take the time to heal.

I read the story, I wish him the best. A favorite even though I don't watch NFL games any more.
