Doordash Driver Thread

Are there any Doordash drivers here? What state are you in and is Doordash your primary or secondary job? Is it enough to get you by? Has COVID affected your deliveries, either by causing you to get more or less? Tell us about it! I'm in the eastern part of Tennessee and I've been dashing now for about a month or so. It has certainly helped us with day to day expenses, but it hasn't really been enough yet to help with large expenses such as bills and stuff. I think it's because we spend the money faster than we can make it. :/ Last week, though, we did fairly well, considering we're a more rural area and not in the city -- we made roughly $160 for about 4-5 hours active time! :O

I know door dash exists in our city and state, but I don't know anyone who drives for them. Given we're a more urben city I would assume that the drivers do pretty well. There's a lot of people ordering delivery than they used to. Based on what's going on at Pizza Hut, a lot of our customers are afraid to come in the store. Since Pizza hut has it's own drivers.... we aren't affiliated with Door Dash. We however, for some unknown reason, are with Uber eats. And, it's not really bursting. A lot of that, I think, has to do with the car or person's ability to accept orders. It's a learning curve as it's a recent thing.

Yeah. I talked to my husband. The unit he's working at, hasn't gotten a huge amount of Uber Eats orders. He thinks a large part of it, is they realize there's a markup to include the driver's fee. Some realize they can do better and cheaper just ordering delivery directly.@disasteroidd420
