My cats can be too quiet.

My two female cats kind of got hurt today and yesterday, not seriously of course, but still. Yesterday, my cat Chinnia decided to steel my chair I use to use my desk. I didn't have the lights on, nor did I check to see if she was in it. Normally, she'll meow as I approach, to let me know she's in it. And, she didn't. SO... I sat on her.
Today. Mama had decided to follow me in the kitchen. She'd been meowing at me while I worked on dishes. She'd gone silent for a while, so when I moved to put one of the dishes away. I stepped on her tail.
THey really should learn to be more vocal, especially given they are normally talkitive.

They usually do. It's just on that day, they decided to stop, or just not.

I know one of my cats is getting up there in age. She tends to sleep long and hard. So, sometimes she won't talk to me. The other one had been talking and stopped. So I thought she'd left the kitchen. Turned out, I was wrong.@thelme55

@kaylachan I see. Maybe they were not in the mood to make loud noises.

I hope they don't try to scratch and bite. Mama swipped at my ankle when I stepped on her tail.

Guess they do, but maybe not all at once. When I posted this, I'd stepped on a tail, sat on another cat.... today, I bopped one in the nose. Chilly, he was chill about it. Just did a trill sound like some cats do and walked over to his food dish.

I think it's better to just look around, your cat seems to be quiet like. There are animals that are talkative but maybe not your cat.

As I said in my post, they usually are very noisey. I'm totally blind. So looking around doesn't do me any good. Especially if said cat has decided to use the kitchen floor for a bed.

@kaylachan I guess it's one of those days were they didn't have something to chat about.

Oh, they get plenty of it, when they aren't making themselves tripping hazards. You'd think they'd learn by now.

I stepped on my cats tail the other day..he tried to bite my leg..screamed and ran away. I noticed a few minutes later .his tail didn't liok the worse forcwear so that was a relief.

I didn't like doing it, either. I don't like making them hiss or anything.

@kaylachan I know. They are so trusting, and when we hurt them, we feel worse than they do.

LOL, you would think they would learn to stay out of the way. They know we humans don't see well in the dark nor fo we look where we are stepping/sitting most of the time.

I'm sorry they're so quiet you sat on one and stepped on the other's tail.

Yes I agree with you but it's unfortunate that cats can't talk like humans and it's not easy to understand their language.

poor thing getting sat on but so funny too
