Or, ya know, Shawl progress...
I started this shawl last night and look how far I've come along with it. Actually, I've crocheted several more rows since then. This is Red Heart's Ombre yarn. I don't know the colorway at the moment as I don't have the label right in front of me.
I followed a youtube tutorial until i got the hang of it. I have a friend wanting me to make her one now too.
I'm probably going to make another for myself in maybe reds or purples.
I'd like to eventually make another one with sleeves as well...

I like it. It is very pretty. That is impressive and to add sleeves is really cool.

Oh, I won't be adding sleeves to this one. This is just a simple triangle design. I want to get great at this and other types before I really try for one with sleeves.

@Hannihar Yes, it's like one of those things that seem easy, but I'm sure there is a technique I need to learn first.

@CarolDM Yes, it really is. I try to find or do something calming every day. Sometimes that's walking, sometimes it's listening to music.. A lot of times it's reading or crocheting.

It's calming to me. I can sit for hours and work on a yarn project, only breaking to stretch my fingers and wrists.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Don't be. I am sure it will make you warm with this.

@Shavkat Oh I think so too. It has holes but the yarn is thick enough to be warm.

This is the first ever shawl I've made so I'm nervous about it.1 person likes this

I love shawls they always remind me of the old woman at the seaside in Ireland hunting for the dulusk to make the soup.

That makes a lovely picture. I like things I can drape over my shoulders, I don't know why.

Oh it's not done yet, but I'm sure I'll have it finished today with the rate I'm working on it. Thank You! I love the color too.

The first time I tried to learn I was 19 years old. I read a pamphlet that gave instructions and a few diagram pictures. It seemed like Latin to me. I picked it up again earlier this year, but this time using youtube. It's been a lot easier to learn that way.
Thank you! I'm surprised at how fast it's working up, but I did spend several hours on it yesterday.

@Nevena83 It makes me think of Elsa from Frozen. I've never watched the full movie, but I can remember her dress in one scene.
