Good afternoon from this side of the planetIt's 12:40 here and I am done with my work at school for the day. I worked for 4 hours with a short 20 minutes break in between. Yesterday I could not be here in the afternoon though I could be. But I chose to finish my paper correction. I sat for three long hours and corrected those papers. And hurraythey are all done.I am left with last five that I will do in another one hour after relaxing myself a bit with mylotting. My younger daughter sat next to me doing her Maths assignment and I could help her wherever she needed my help. I am all determined to finish the last five papers and upload all of them and even fill the excel sheet with marks. grade and remarks by tonight. Though the deadline is Saturday night, I prefer to finish things beforehand. That is always safe and I try to avoid the last minute chaos and rush. That's the picture of green rice that I just served to my daughters for lunch. It is rice friend with chopped onions, green chillies, tomatoes and a paste of ginger, garlic, boiled spinach, coriander and mint. We add black pepper , salt and cumin powder to add the aroma. Also a handful of peanuts and Bengal gram is added for the protein. The aroma of the rice has filled the house But I and husband do not have the appetite and we might skip lunch. We had a heavy breakfast of aloo paratha ( Indian bread with stuffing of spicy mashed potato). And then we had a glass of buttermilk in my break. Now we are full till brim. We might go for some fruits later in afternoon if we feel hungry. And the same rice can be good enough for our dinner. It's enough left for four of us. That saves me from cooking dinner Now I will spend some time here. I have close to 300 notifications as I was not much here in last few days. I have all plans to bring them down to zero before I move on to reading and responding to new discussions here. Have a good time

Now I'm hungry... And what I would love now is to eat my favourite rice, risotto allo zafferano . I used to order it almost every time I was going to the restaurant, well, my favourite restaurant. I still order it, but it's available only for home delivery because of Covid .

That's true, many countries has that problem were due to lockdown restaurants are not opened and only take away is allowed.

Many of our little joys like eating out in our favorite restaurant have been taken away by this nasty virusIt's wise now to avoid public places and take all precautions to stay safe and healthy. I think a home delivery or take-out is a safe option. Though I know eating in the restaurant had its own special feeling.

@arunima25 exactly, I enjoy eating in a restaurant, it has its charm . Bad things happen all the time, we are just not used to something like this. But I have hope and I have faith .

@Hannihar Same here. I function better when I have a plan at hand and I am structured in my brain. It's okay to bring some last minute changes and modifications.

It is always better to do that. Last-minute rush stresses me out. So I keep doing a little each day and finish it in time.

She has Heavy breakfast. If she had break pakoda/ Aloo paratha. Both are heavy for digestion. So usually we have curd with it, But then curd doesn't suites everyone.

I always try to clear my notifications a couple of times during work and each time I notice it while MyLot at home. If not, they'll be too much for me to handle. When you said green rice, I imagine the rice will be totally green. Quite disappointed that it's not. But from the picture, I can say that it looks very delicious.

Good that you keep kicking off your notifications and don't let them pile up. It's called green rice as we use a lot of green leaves there and it does look a bit green. It's spicy, yummy and healthy

It helps me when I am focussed and handling one thing at a time. Too many things make me feel overwhelmed and I am not so productive.

Rice looks good. If you are not going to eat it can you parcel it to Maharashtra I am starving. My mom said I have to wait till she finishes her cooking. I am also like you, I used to finish my work which manager used to assign it to me on same day. Edit - We call bread with smashed potato for stuffing as "Bread Pakoda" And we call aloo paratha to that when you have wheat flour and smashed potato for stuffing Go for a walk, have water and may be one teaspoon of digene might work for you.

It is no indigestion or acidity here. I am a small eater. Today I had two big tava size paratha. Generally I have one. And then buttermilk for snacks made me really full. Once in 40's every extra bite counts. I have finished correcting and uploading all of them. Now I will do the entry in excel sheet in night . Atleast half of them. Entering marks, grades and elaborate remarks for 70 plus students is another time consuming one. I will take a nap now.
