Utah pizza delivery driver lands a huge tip from a Papa John's customer

It is very interesting that Derlin Newey who is 89 years of age is employed by Papa John's Pizza in Roy Utah due to his fan base on Tik Tok and being the favorite driver of Carlos Valdez and his family, Derlin received a tip from his customer for $12,000 dollars.
Derlin who works a pizza delivery driver on a part time basis of 30 hours, was able to receive the huge tip since the Valdez family shared his good work delivering pizzas to their home.
Donations from well wishers came to the Valdez home that reached over $12,000 dollars.
When Derlin received his huge tip from the Valdez family, Derlin cried tears of joy since his kindness delivering pizzas paid off in a huge way.

@Deepizzaguy Exactly! It's rare for my husband to get 10, in tips and that's from more than one person. And, that was back when he drove for Pizza hut. Now with this curbside pick-up and such, he'll occasionally get some tips but nothing like that.

I don't quite get who exactly paid the top. People donated to the called family for the one delivery out he's delivered to them before and that's why other trips came in too?
