The movie (the link leads to a short-version/review of it) teaches that ... it's hard for me to catch 'the central thought'---maybe because I'm not really 'paying attention,' but more 'listening to it as I write about something else in my blog.' I heard that 'most religions (and popular Christianity)' teach that "you are good because you do good things (follow the rules, etc.)," the true Gospel works out so that "you do good things BECAUSE you are good" (i.e. your deeds don't make you saved. I also heard that most Christians join in with the idea promoted by The Prosperity Gospel-ers--that 'believing & praising makes you rich'--when the truth of it is more like "humans are bad, we don't deserve any of the blessings we cherish; but we take them in the name of God (Our Heavenly Father)." (or am I just 'inserting my own thoughts' there?) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocHm18wUAGU

l know that Christianity clearly speaks in the bible that Jesus Christ is the son of God. The prosperity gospel is all about the money coming in to make a ministry lots of money. The main idea is to give your life to Jesus Christ and accept as your savior as it says in John 9,10 you will become a believer in Jesus Christ and come into his kingdom of Salvation.

Umm, no. The Bible also teaches (almost AS clearly) that Adam (Eve's husband) was the Son of God, and that the many 'angels who became demons' were "sons of God." Nobody follows the prosperity gospel "because they want the ministry to make lots of money"; they see that the ministry's leaders 'have a lot of money,' and get into the prosperity gospel 'to get in on that' (same way investors don't invest in business 'because they want the business to do well'; they invest 'to make money').

The idea is that people are duped into joining the church by 'promises of great fortune,' but find that the truth is ... different---disappointing, to some.
