Some songs are beautiful in their simplicity, but the message shared within, what lies beneath the surface is powerful. Nicole Nordeman is by far one of my favorite Christian artist, but her message I feel is a universal one, we are reminded that judging others is not our place, that is not to say we don’t guide them, or point out when mistakes are being made, but we certainly are not the final judges. I’ve listened to these lyrics, many times, and am reminded of my own growth, my own realization, that it’s not about living a set of rules, it’s about living to be a light to a world, to bring hope.
