I started using this again after a long break. I had accrued $8 ish several years ago and it “expired” and disappeared. Does anyone else us this app? I decided to try it again after seeing ads about getting free items (100% cash back into your iBotta account) of some Walmart Thanksgiving items. So, what the heck. For those that don’t use it-this is an app (possibly only for US members, not sure) where you can get cash back on SPECIFIC items at stores. It HAS to be that item, and you can scan the barcode of the item while in the store to make sure it matches the offer. Once you buy them items, you have to scan the barcode of your receipt, and sometimes scan the barcodes of the individual items to get credit. I spent around $50 on groceries and various items at Walmart a couple days ago and got back $14 into my iBotta account, which was awesome. I was excited because one item was $5.00 cash back and only cost a total of $5.50 (Morningstar meatless chicken nuggets), so it was almost totally free. Can’t beat that. You have to have $20 to cash out and I believe you can link up your bank account. I am going to try on my next couple of shopping trips to use iBotta or at least check it out in case there are any good deals. An obvious drawback is sometimes it is still a better deal to buy a generic item than one of the iBotta items (even with the cash back). I also use Receipt Hog and Fetch Rewards, but iBotta is a little bit different since you have to do more than just scan the receipt and be done with it. Anyone else use this app? What are your thoughts?

I made quite a bit of money on Ibotta over the past few years, but I quit using it because for one thing my local supermarket here does not carry many of the required products, and also if you have a question or problem you have to wait sometimes more than a week for support to get back to you..sometimes they are argumentative and won't credit either...I like Fetch Rewards and the Coupons.com app much better.

Yes, I use the app I did have a bad experience in the beginning, my app got hacked and someone stole the money I had just earned and changed my email and cashed it out to their paypal. so make sure you have all of your profile and any passwords filled out and I stopped using the app in the store. because I believe this is where they get you . especially if you are using a stores unsecured wifi. other than that. it is good I have cashed out numerous times. My step father gets lots and lots of cash back and stuff for just about free, especially if you have other grocery coupons you use. he made over $100 last month.

I have always wondered about whether those work out being worth it. Sounds like it just depends on what you buy
