TV News Is Empty

I used to always make it a point to watch the news in the morning or at night to get caught up, but I don't think I can do it anymore. This is not me saying "the media is biased" or anything like that, but just there is no substance to it anymore. I was watching an interview with a cyber security expert and every question and answer was just so broad and there was no detail involved. I am not a cyber security expert but I think most people know enough about computers at this point to get SOME kind of substance from someone talking about it. It just seems whenever someone gets the chance to get into details or offer good insight, they opt for the generic, feel-good, convenient, generalized comment. I don't know, maybe it is just me being overly cynical this morning.

I stopped watching TV long time ago. Media always have favorite, they tend to pick safe topics, general question.

I never cared about the news at all. I did play close attention when the vote was happening though

for now I am more selective in looking for or reading news related to any matter, because what is reported is mostly not one hundred percent valid anymore.

You aren't alone. Pretty sure most people have been feeling the same. It's kind of sad but that's how it's always been. I find it difficult sometimes to exclude myths from actual news.
