What's for lunch on this sunny and cool Thursday? And how high is your sales tax?

I just got off of my fatty acids and ran a few errands. On the way home, I stopped at Taco Bell and scored a bean and cheese burrito and a ground beef burrito. Both are on the dollar menu. I have sour cream at home, so I didn't have to order a side of sour cream. Total cost: $2.18, including our ridiculous 9% sales tax. What did you have for lunch today? How high is sales tax where you live? I happy that I bought my $6000.0000 truck in Montana, whch has no sales tax. It was really $6000, not $6540. (Did I get the math right? I did it in my head.)

There are benefits to living here. Kentucky is 6%, Indiana is 7%. No tax on food or medicine.

I bet our million dollar houses cost $250,000 there as well.

@TheHorse — I have a small house, about 850 sq.ft. It is valued at about 60K here. There, it’d probably be a million. Taxes, too. I had friends tell me my mort, which was never more than $400 a month, was what they averaged a WEEK. PS: I see you are trans-animal now.

@FourWalls You are the first person to notice that I am a "trannie." Thank goodness it's in "vogue" right now. It happened overnight while I was sleeping.

@TheHorse I didn't make the bread, or the roast beef, but I assembled the sandwich. And yes I did make the cole-slaw and the chutney.

@TheHorse Yes, they did. Can't remember if I had anything to drink but I did have a piece of dark chocolate for dessert.

That's great you don't have sales tax in Montana. That's high in California. Ours is 5% and none on food - groceries. We have a sales tax on fast food. You did well on your dollar menu.

Yep. I eat Taco Bell at least once every other week these days At least I know what I'm getting. And the next morning is firm and predictable (can I say that?).

We just had an extra 1/4% added for Laketran last year (a call-ahead bus service) which brought ours up to 7.25%. Everything is expensive in CA. Why did you change your name??? Oh yeah, and I had a bowl of lentil soup for my main meal.

Speaking of Taco Bell, I was a Frito Burrito on the dollar menu regular! Bad Taco Bell... bad bad bad for not selling after all those dollars!
