I was invited to a wedding ceremony today.I agreed, because the ceremony was to be very simple.I was told that there were only one hundred invitees.
Still I put on a mask and kept a small bottle of sanitizer in my pocket.Fully prepared I went there.
I was amazed to see more than three hundred invitees there. Some of them were my college friends who I had not met for months. They rushed to me and wanted to hug me.I somehow managed to not let them come near me.
Somehow I attended the party, took leave from my friend and came back home.
Did you attend any party, especially a party where there were more invitees than informed,in these corona days??

I can't avoid being in a crowded place especially when we are conducting the service caravan where we are the one facilitating. We just need to be very careful. This is part of my job so I can't say no. But I don't attend party nowadays.

@ARIES1973 I understand. You need to be very very careful.I don't attend parties either, but attended this one, because I was told no more than 100 people will be there in a big space. Later I found more than 200 there. However somehow I managed to honour all covid 19 protocols.

I have attended more parties of the same genre. In my country you will find the invitees are less in numbers then those not invited. That's normal in my country

I am avoiding parties- even of 20 plus people, leave alone 100 plus!!
One does not know what condition one has been through and we cannot ask each person to follow even the mask wearing and sanitizer use precaution.
We have an upcoming invite but so far I have shown reluctance.
I know that this can put off some people or make them feel bad, but that would perhaps be better than getting this virus.
One of my colleagues had his brother attending a marriage.
After a few days, this colleague of mine, his mother, brother and perhaps some more family members got Covid 19.
My colleague had some level 3 and some more difficulties. He had to stay in a hospital for 3 days.
Thankfully he has recovered as of now.
I do not understand why people have to call so many for marriage functions. Have they ceased to realize how bad this virus can be.
I have even heard about a few people dying due to this- not due to their own fault but due to some other family member getting infected first.

100 people in one place would shock and scare me with the virus still around. i even got anxious when i rode a jeepney and it was 80% full. thankfully it was a short distance.

@hereandthere The government,so far as I know,100 people are allowed to assemble at a place if they wear masks and maintain physical distancing.I attended the party, because the hall it was arranged in is very spacious. Otherwise I never attend any party these days. I managed to protect myself ,but this incident taught me a valuable lesson.
