Books from my friend

Yesterday an old friend got in touch over Facebook and asked me if I'd like some books because her and her boyfriend were giving some away, so I said yes. She came round yesterday at 4 in the evening with three bags of stuff, not just books. Her boyfriend came with her and it was the first time I'd met him. He seems nice. We had a nice chat on the doorstep. When they'd gone I had a good look in the bags. There were three books about trains that I gave to my step-dad. He likes trains. Then there were a lot of books in the one bag that I looked through. There were some travel and nature books, a couple of novels, and a book by Patrick Moore about the end of the world and doomsday! But one book that stood out from all of them was a hardback copy of Who on Earth is Tom Baker? I'm a big Doctor Who fan so finding this book in the bag was a really nice surprise. In the other two bags were 3 soft toys, 2 teddy bears and a Rudolph reindeer thing, and a few items of clothing. My friend is the same size as me so I know they'll fit. There were several blouses and tops, and a kaftan type thing, like a Japanese type thing, like a dressing gown but silky. It had a tie belt with it. It's very nice. And there was a warm hat, soft to the touch, that I'm sure I remember seeing my friends Mum wearing in the past. Also among the items was a small perfume bottle in a presentation box. I'm really grateful to my friend for all these things, so I thanked her on Facebook. I hope everyone is OK. Have a nice night.
