How can I help with my dogs fear/anxiety?

A little over a year ago I adopted a rescue dog. She was rescued in Thailand from the dog meat trade and understandably has a lot of fear and a lot of anxiety about pretty much everything. She has come a long way since I adopted her. There are still quite a few things that set off her fear and lately, I have been unable to take her for much of a walk as she constantly tries to go around in front of me and turn back towards home. She has a sensitive stomach so I can't give her a bunch of treats while in a situation she is fearful in, in order to try and associate something good with a situation she is nervous about. If I give her more than 10 small pieces of a treat she will have diarrhea I have been giving her something for anxiety called Rescue Remedy as well as Valarian. It's helped a little bit inside but not much when we go outside. Anyone have any suggestions or know of some good places to find good relevant information?

aw, bless her'n kudo's to ya fer steppin' 'p to give her a good home, hon. 've ya spoken to yer vet 'bout such? perhaps one 'f those snug fittin' t-shirt gizmos folks use fer their pups fer thunderstorms? other'n that, praise 'n patience. might've the vet do some blood work to see 'bout her gut issues. could be she needs some type 'f probiotics? might e'en 've an ulcer 'fter all she's been through.

I am planning to try the thunder jacket soon. When I had her in for her shots they did a full blood and stool workup. Everything checked out well. I did do a run of probiotics for 2 weeks as well as something like Pepto Bismol but for dogs with the probiotics.

Some Youtube videos may help along with a vet visit. I also adopted a dog but he was not badly treated so i cannot relate to this. my dog is spoiled.

I am so sorry, I couldn't help you. I never have a dog. I hope you can find solution for your dog. I read dog psychiatrist is a thing. Maybe you can visit them?
