Day 124 Promise 583 1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (KJV) What kind of person are you? Do you proudly wear the badge of honor or dishonor? Paul told the Corinthians who would not inherit eternal life. Then he told them they were the same before they accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord. Only then could they claim eternal life through Jesus Christ. As Christians, your lifestyle might have mimicked those who won’t inherit eternal life. You know that before you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, your eternal destination was Hell. There was nothing you could do to change your destination. It is only through the power of the cross and your acknowledgment of Jesus as your Savior that your destination is no longer Hell, but heaven. Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV) You have a new lifestyle in Jesus Christ. You no longer fit in any of those categories that would keep you out of heaven and thrust you into the pit of Hell. Let’s pray: Father, I know I deserve eternal damnation.
