He Wants a Sweet Snack

My husband is rummaging through our pantry for something sweet to eat after his lunch. But all we have is my Choczero chocolate barks (sugar-free chocolates) and Lindt chocolates (full of sugar). I told him I can make him a low-carb and sugar-free chocolate snack cake. I still have the mix from Good Dee's, which sells cake mixes made from almond flour and sweetened with monk fruit instead of sugar. I liked how his face instantly lit up when I showed him and promised him that I will bake it for him and he can have it in the afternoon when gets off work for a pre-dinner snack. This reminds me that I need to check our pantry and start stocking up on our essentials. We are running low on flour and almond flour, stevia, and coconut oil.

I keep jokingly reminding him that he is lucky he's got me. My husband from here, so whenever I cook Filipino dishes and they end up not tasting like they should, he still likes them because he does not know any better.

My husband is also like that. Trying to find something to munch after meals. But he likes someone savoury.

I am like that too sometimes. After eating something sweet, I want something savory. And vice versa. That's what usually gets me in trouble. I overeat because my taste buds keep on looking for another taste.
