I was actually dreaming about this until a little monster gave me kiss to the face. I had hook ups in National guard,, one with a actual girl. National guard was really fun, but still not for me. One day on deployment our Staff Sergeant comes in, this is so and so and she feels more comfortable with the males. Do you mind if she sleeps in your tent? Nope, welcome, I have no problem with it either and she was a female too , but she is like you better treat her with respect. or you will answer to me. Yes, ma'am, do not call me ma'am, I work for a living but it was a yes ma'am response, tell me not. We had a blast, not even coyotes could mess with us. That was one year and another, the one I was dreaming about. I cannot quite remember how this came to be. I was saying I was having trouble sleeping or something because I am 23 and these fools 17 to 19, with no respect. My homie just got promoted to Sergeant. This was a weird year where they took the time to actually treat the mid level higher ups better. Gave the good Sergeants officer tents. Had to share, but no one was complaining. I was actually a NCO in Marines, for like 2 months. I am not sure why because they have standards and if you do not meet them(book learning), not supposed to get promoted to E4 which is NCO in Marines but not Army. Anyway, out of the blue they just promoted me, and they even knew I had plans on getting out so maybe a stay in tactic. I knew was not for me from day one after boot camp. Anyway, he gets a tent with this lovely female Sergeant and they both married so think they feel weird sharing a tent together with no one there. Hey homie come bunk with us. I am not a NCO, we do not care, we like you, you respectful, it will be fun. I was so respectful I I took the tent porch. Basically a little section they made with cami netting to have a little backyard porch so to speak. I snore and how often do you really get to live in nature.? It was awesome and could just run inside when I got scared. One night we coming back from showers and we have to drive to main base to take them. They were in different trucks. I was last one and knew this. You get in a weird happy mood when you get a shower after spending a week in the dirt. I come flying in ready to talk smack, hey mofo's and could not get the cuss word out before I was flat on my back. I forgot the little lip in the door of officer tents. I at least did not fall face first and guess was moving so fast I spun myself up in the air. Till this day not sure how I did that, but we were dying laughing so hard. I think I laid there for 5 minutes and all of us were just laughing so hard. What were you going to say, who knows homie, it was not this funny. Good Times. Some how, bet both of those fools remember that too. After daily grind, crap like that just makes you remember what its all about.
