This picture was taken last night when we ligted our lantern or parol in Tagalog language. We didnt have christmas decors this year because it was all placed in a box in our storage room .It was placed on a spot where it is hard to reach and since were doing minor renovations, we decided to just have the lantern , its a Filipino tradition to always have lanterns . It symbolizes how the star guided the three kings to reach the manger where our SAVIOR was born. Oh I'm sorry if I interpreted it like a child , I am a child at heart , I love it simple and easy to understand and happy all the time.
Are you putting christmas decors too in your house? Do you also have lanterns?

I was going to order one, but the only store nearest me sold out last month. I am glad their business was good, however, that means for me we will have to go without parol. I was hoping to get one this year so we can decorate the outside of our house. Maybe next year!

No we don't have any of those, but we did decorate for Christmas. Not much, mind you... but pretty all the same.

@kaylachan Mom loves the minimalistic effect all the time and by that we dont really have much decors in the house plus it makes cleaning abd dusting a little easy too.

i gave the older decors to one brother and the old parol to another brother (who knows how to fix stuff)
we decided to have only few decors this year. thankfully a neighbor sold his led lights which we hung outside with tinsel and 2 small shiny parol.

@iKONICNoona that was my plan when i took down the decors january this year. then come november, i would start buying new decors and a new lantern.
but the pandemic happened so i wasn't able to buy new decors and there were no lanterns anywhere. but it's okay knowing their households have new/additional decors.
