I've had an interesting day

It began by me taking a different pair of boots that didn't fit back to Costco. In the way home I filled up with gas and went home to get my ink cartridges which I took back to cartridge world for refills.
Came home and began the laundry. While that was washing I wrapped for gifts for Christmas. The clothes are now in the dryer and I pulled some meatballs from the downstairs freezer for supper tonight. These are made with chicken with a teraki flavor. We've never had them before but my sister recommended them. We bought them at costco's last week.
One thing I wanted to find was an electric knife that I thought my mom gave me years ago. I went through my cupboards and found more paper products that I didn't know we're there. There are three rolls of wax paper and oodles of freezer bags and sandwich bags.
But, no knife there. So I looked in another cupboard and did find the unit but not the part that does the slicing itself.
We don't know yet whether will purchase a new one they are around twenty-five dollars or cut the turkey by hand.
Right now I'm having leftover roast with wasabi. Not bad. Growing up I ate it with mustard.

Trying to get things done before Christmas and before we get a lot of snow and colder weather. As it was the temps were at freezing but still rather pleasant when the wind isn't blowing.

I got gas at Costco yesterday...I was thrilled to find it for 1.85 yay!!! I found a drawer in the kitchen I didn't remember I had. It had some ziplock bags in there, and a few other things. Lord knows when I put them in there!

@snowy22315 I've been waiting years to get a drawer replaced so we can use it again. It was trimmed to make room for a dishwasher and the person that worked on it never finished the work.

I didn't realize you've travelled back and forth to your own country. I thought you moved to Germany and stayed put.
I probably out the blades in a safe place but haven't figured out where that might be yet. I have one more cupboard to check. I'll be surprised if it's there.

@MarshaMusselman Yes, we traveled back and forth and usually, we are there when winter in Germany. This time, we stayed here because of the virus.
I hope you can find it. Enjoy your Friday.

You've been busy. Hope you find rest if your cutting equipment. I used to do that with my Ziploc until I gathered it all up & put it in my container to limit buying. I check everything before shopping. I sometimes do that with supplements. No more now. I just take a quick check and most times I have enough until another sale.

My c cupboard is so deep a lot was in back of what could be easily seen. We won't have to but anything now for probably a year unless we find the zippers no longer work from age.

Have you had horseradish? It's somewhat like that but can burn all the way down. For me it's a mild burn.

Then maybe we will just try a normal kitchen knife. My husband is on blood thinners and doesn't need to get cut. Better to have more control unless one of our son in laws help with that.
We've cooked turkey for ourselves before but we weren't fussy about how it was cut.

@MarshaMusselman My husband used to use the electric knife on turkey and roast beef. Now, our older son is the master turkey cutter here and at his in-laws. He uses a regular knife and also his hands!

I had to get stuff done whether I wanted to or not. My foot has been swelling by days end for some reason I'm concerned I may have sprained it when my foot and leg spasmed while my foot was wrapped. I'm seeing my Dr before Christmas.
But, standing on it working is harder than doing things at home.

It was. I didn't want to be on my foot much but I wanted to get the running done before more snow cones and it gets colder yet.
