Before or After Birthday

I've always heard people say that a person will die on days not far from his or her birthday. I'm not sure if this has connection to the belief but there were people known to me had their death coincided. Death is inevitable but no one knew when will be the exact time of anyone's passing. My father died January 27 and his birthday is February 22. For my mother, it did not coincide because she died on August and her birth month is May.
